Individual Telehealth Therapy
Individual telehealth therapy for Alabama and Florida residents is available to address anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and relationship issues. Michelle Holley, LCSW, utilizes the following therapy modalities as indicated to help individuals achieve their therapy goals: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Behavioral Activation, Problem-Solving Therapy (PST), and Narrative Therapy. Additionally, Michelle uses elements of Gottman Method to help individuals break unhealthy relationship cycles and learn healthy dating and relationship behaviors; recover and heal from emotional abuse and toxic relationships; and make positive changes in their current relationship even when their spouse may not be ready to attend therapy.
Couples Gottman Method Telehealth Therapy
Gottman Method Couples Therapy is available via telehealth for Alabama and Florida residents. In Gottman Method Couples Therapy, couples will learn how to repair broken trust, solidify their commitment to one another, enhance their friendship through love mapping, manage conflict in healthier ways, turn toward one another, increase intimacy, create shared meaning and establish rituals of connection. Couples are also able to recover from affairs and infidelity if indicated, learning how to navigate the post-traumatic impact from the betrayal, and receive therapeutic support as they heal and seek to understand how to protect their marriage from the issues that exposed their relationship to the infidelity in the first place.
Couples Therapy is available in the traditional one-hour session format as well as intensive weekday or weekend sessions. Intensives are available in the following formats and pricing will be discussed during the consultation based on location and format chosen: One-Day Intensive (6 hours of therapy and 1 hour lunch break), Two-Day Intensive (Saturday and Sunday, 6 hours of therapy and 1 hour lunch break each day), Three-Day Intensive (Friday 4 hours of therapy, Saturday and Sunday, 6 hours of therapy and 1 hour lunch break each day).
Gottman Method Couples Therapy begins in the first session with a thorough assessment and an explanation of the Gottman method and its effectiveness. The next two sessions will be individual sessions where the therapist will meet with each partner privately and gather personal histories, continuing the relationship assessment. Both partners will be asked to complete an online assessment (Gottman Connect) separately outside of the session that measures various aspects of your relationship after the session. The results of this assessment will be shared with you in the next couples session and treatment goals established based on these results. The frequency and duration of therapy will be different for every couple based on your goals and areas identified for specific interventions. Therapy sessions are structured towards skills-based and emotionally based interventions; many couples begin to feel significantly closer as they begin working in therapy towards skills that are made to last after therapy is concluded. Maintenance sessions are recommended and couples are able to return as needed to prevent relapse and help maintain relationship success.
